CVOs are volunters who are utilized in traffic protection, traffic related services and local events. You may often find the CVOs directing traffic at specialty events, football games, and crash scenes. The CVOs are non-sworn officers who do not possess standard police powers, nor carry weapons. Several CVOs started off with training via our Citizens Police Academy, and as a Volunteer In Police Service (VIPS)
